Hot Huts is my take in the beach huts at wells next to sea in Norfolk. Original reduction print. Edition of 8/17 no more can be made. Image is A5 (203mm by 152mm) on A4 paper. This print will fit straight in to a standard A4 mount frame It was a super hot day and I descended through the pine trees to a packed beach, fortunately the sandcastle competition was on so I was able to sketch the famous huts in peace. Jake Richards is a new print maker, having caught the printing bug in July 2019. He is also a Fire Fighter in Somerset. Jake works in Linoleum reduction printing, a process made famous by Pablo Picasso. Reduction prints are made from one linoleum block which is printed multiple times. This process is often referred to as the suicide print. The block is carved between each printing so that less of the block prints each time. The entire edition must be printed from the start. No proofs can be made and no part of the process can be reprinted.
